Outdoor swimming pool
An open-air bathing facility was to be situated in a poorly defined urban zone close to the river Besòs. The scheme defined a kind of oasis composed of three areas: a building aligned with the access street that accommodates all of the services and changing rooms, a wet zone with two swimming pools and palm trees, and a garden shaded by poplars. Two raised footbridges, genuine landmarks of urban orientation, carry people over the swimming pools, connect the terrace of the bar-café with the landscaped leisure zone, and greatly enhance the social communicability of the amenity. The value of interiority in a pure exterior. A dream-like, tourist-postcard atmosphere created with the aid of the blue of the paving and the greenery of poplars and palm trees.
