RRGA is installed in an old industrial space 'textile steam' located in the center of Terrassa, a place for working and for encouraging the meeting of different disciplines.
Architecture, urban planning, art, design, audiovisual and crafts are mixed in an open space in the city. Emotions, activities, trips, dinners, markets and exhibitions coexist with daily tasks to ensure that work and life do not walk separately and be able to live intensely.
RGA is formed bt the architects Barto Busom and Xavi Ruscalleda and Anna Pi in the management, with the collaboration of the architects Victor Bouman, Diego Albornoz and Joan Marcé, among other professionals.
A team that is nourished by its environment and external collaborators to introduce new inputs in an extensive professional career and to take advantage of the synergies of different looks to provoke new ways of building, looking for the logic of sustainable systems and promoting the cohesion of different disciplines.
RGA Arquitectes was set up in Barcelona in 1982 on the evolution of a first study formed by the architects Pere Riera and Josep Mª Gutiérrez, where the architects Josep Sotorres, Montserrat Batlle and Barto Busom joined.
After more than 35 years of professional practice, generational relief has been taken but respecting and appreciating their skills and their ways of doing.
RGA Arquitectes pursues recycling, material and energy austerity to protect our natural surroundings and to build energetically self-sufficient spaces, looking for reasonable answers when it comes to projecting spaces with sustainable and efficient solutions.
Let us never forget that beauty and solidarity are the best renewable energies to ensure the sustainability of human life and to promote the links of citizen collaboration.
RGA has been awarded several times during its trajectory for different works. The International Footbridge Awards in 2005, and the National Prize Decade of the Oscar Tusquets Foundation in 2003, also the FAD Awards, Catalunya Construcció Awards, Biennial del Vallès, Spanish Biennial of Architecture and Urbanism, European Landscape Biennial, Endesa Prize for sustainability, Construmat Awards, among others.
